The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and JaggerJack counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Let's hope that Garavito has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Garavito does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Garavito walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

JaggerJack dives in and grabs Garavito's left leg, looking for a takedown. Garavito pushes down on JaggerJack's head and hops out.
JaggerJack will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

JaggerJack shoots in looking for a takedown but Garavito manages to keep the fight standing, pushing JaggerJack's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grimmjow JaggerJack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Garavito throws a chopping leg kick but JaggerJack manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

JaggerJack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Garavito working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
