PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gwan Dylan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penncil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Gwan Dylan will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Dylan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dylan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dylan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dylan manages to end up in side control.

Dylan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Penncil can't fight it off and eventually Dylan manages to take the fight to the floor. Penncil looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Penncil felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Penncil has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dylan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Penncil.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dylan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
