Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boudreaux Godeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Superman. Godeaux comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Battle Ready kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godeaux fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Godeaux ducks right into an uppercut from Mathers.
Boudreaux Godeaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mathers scoring well with a low kick there.
Godeaux dips to his left and cracks Mathers with an uppercut!
Godeaux misses with a double jab.
Godeaux slips a jab and a cross from Mathers.
Mathers goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Boudreaux Godeaux has been cut.
Godeaux misses with a looping right.
Mathers scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mathers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Godeaux looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mathers lands an elbow.
Mathers landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Godeaux is looking for a sweep.
Godeaux holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Godeaux tries to buck Mathers off but Mathers is having none of it.

Godeaux is still trying to improve position.
Mathers in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Godeaux tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mathers throws an elbow but Godeaux slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mathers looks up at the clock and then as Godeaux takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mathers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Godeaux is rocked!
Godeaux can't do much from the bottom here.
Godeaux told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Mathers lands a strong strike to the head of Godeaux. That's dazed him! Mathers looking to finish here. Godeaux is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mathers lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
