Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roy Niga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roy Niga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Travis Browne! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Browne changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Niga tries to clinch but fails miserably and Browne counters with a nice leg kick. Niga really is a fat lump. Niga closes the distance but Browne moves to the side and Browne counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Niga is lucky that one didn't land flush. Niga tries for a takedown but Browne circles away easily and Browne counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Niga is lucky that one didn't land flush. Niga takes a kick to the side of the head. Browne connects with a right hand. Niga shakes it off. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Browne throws a shot to the body.
Niga throws a left and a right that both miss
and Browne makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Niga with a poor takedown and Niga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Niga moves to clinch but Browne breaks away and Browne counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Browne has managed to clinch.
Browne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Browne has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Niga is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Niga misses with a takedown and Browne counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Niga. That's going to take a lot out of him. Browne pushes Niga up against the cage in a clinch. Niga is fighting off a takedown attempt but Browne is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Niga to the mat. Niga regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Browne stays in close to Niga's body and controls the position. Let's hope that Browne has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Travis Browne. Browne clobbers Niga with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Browne throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Niga tries to clinch and Browne counters with a stiff right hand. The fight moves into the clinch position. A battle for position here, against the cage. Niga is breathing heavily. Browne gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Niga might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Niga wants to hit a switch here but Browne passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Niga there! Browne get's back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Browne gets a clinch. Niga misses with an elbow strike.
Browne cracks Niga with a nice body shot. Browne tightens his grip and picks Niga up, before dumping him to the ground. Niga manages to land in guard. Browne showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Travis Browne. Niga takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Browne rushes Niga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Browne slows down the pace here.
Browne turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Browne manages to end up in side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Browne moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Browne dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Browne scores with a head kick. Niga tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Browne gets a clinch. Browne has clasped his hands together around Niga's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Browne has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Niga walks forward, straight into a front kick from Browne. Roy Niga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Niga takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Niga throws a leg kick and Browne counters with a head kick. That will keep Niga thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! This has been an exciting period of action! Niga tries to clinch up and Browne counters with a one-two to the body. Browne has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Niga shoots and misses and Browne connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Browne lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Browne decides to take the fight back to the feet. Browne is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Browne clinches up with Niga and pushes him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A right hook to the body lands for Browne.
Browne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Browne gets a clinch. Browne works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Browne not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Travis Browne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Browne performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Browne trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Niga doesn't escape. Well, with Browne on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Niga is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Niga trying to control the action but Browne just sinks the hooks in.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Browne really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Niga.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Travis Browne was stalling too much, according to the referee. Browne connects with a high kick.

Browne throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nigas head. Browne has hold of one of Niga's legs. Niga is fighting the takedown attempt but Browne gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Browne stays in close to Niga's body and controls the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Travis Browne was stalling too much, according to the referee. Browne stuns Niga with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Niga takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Travis Browne seems to be getting the better of the standup. Browne moves into range and clinches up with Niga. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Browne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Niga takes a kick to the side of the head. Niga tries to keep at a distance but Browne has taken the fight into the clinch. Browne escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Browne rushes Niga and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Niga tries to pull guard but Browne holds him up against the cage and eventually Niga drops back down to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Browne has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Niga regains guard immediately. Roy Niga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Browne is stalling in the full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Travis Browne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Browne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
