Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Randy Harding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Luz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harding as he avoids it easily.

Harding shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Harding showed some decent athleticism there.

Harding is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Luz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harding.
Luz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Luz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harding can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Harding chips away with some ground and pound.

Harding throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Luz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Harding's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Luz has a closed guard, preventing Harding from standing up.

Harding is looking to work some ground and pound but Luz has wrist control.

Luz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Luz is looking for a triangle but Harding pushes his legs off easily.

Harding lands a couple of elbows.
Harding wants to stand and escape but instead Luz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Luz gets to his feet - Harding follows without any prompting.

Harding closes the distance and pushes Luz back into the cage.

Luz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Harding is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Luz to the mat. Luz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Harding might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Harding accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Harding wants to stand and escape but instead Luz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harding has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harding is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Luz wants to stand and escape but instead Harding has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Donk. Harding catches Luz right on the button with a cross.
Luz tries to close the distance and clinch but Harding swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Luz keeps the fight on the outside.

Luz shoots in and gets a takedown into Harding's guard.
Harding wants to sweep but no luck.
Luz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harding swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Luz swings around for an armbar but Harding sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Luz's guard.

Luz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harding defends well.

Luz is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Harding has his hands clasped together but Luz extends and breaks Harding's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Luz.
