The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trager checks a low kick from Kwaak.

and Trager decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kwaak's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Trager is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kwaak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kwaak is trying to control Trager's posture but Trager avoids it.

Trager can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kwaak is looking to escape.

Kwaak throws a shot from downtown. Trager moves away and avoids it.

and Trager counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kwaak won't be happy with that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
