The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silence tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jr swivels and escapes.
Silence gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Silence has hold of one of Jr's legs. Jr is fighting the takedown attempt but Silence gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Silence advances position into side control!
Jr tries to bench press Silence off him but Silence keeps the position.
Silence is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silence is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jr looks calm but he's in trouble here. Silence gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jr is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Silence lets go of the hold and Jr can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). The Silence!
