Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donte Lott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Shotton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Donte Lott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Shotton!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shotton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lott is looking to reverse the position.
Shotton moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Shotton scoring with punches from side control.
Shotton just content to control the position.
Lott is not content to let Shotton control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lott is trying to improve his position.

Shotton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lott is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Shotton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lott wants to control but Shotton postures up.

Shotton tries to advance to mount but can't.

Shotton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Lott throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Shotton lands a few punches from side control.

Lott manages to work his way to half guard, despite Shotton's best efforts.
Shotton wants to control but Lott is keeping him busy.
Shotton thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Shotton is trying to work for a kimura but Lott is defending well.
Lott trying to control but Shotton postures up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nice strikes from Shotton there.

Shotton tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Shotton is pressing down on Lott's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lott is holding on for now.
Shotton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lott wants to control but Shotton passes into side.
Shotton misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lott is looking for a sweep.
Shotton happy to just control the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carl Shotton dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Shotton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Shotton wants to control but Lott is keeping him busy.
Shotton winds up and cracks Lott with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Shotton controlling the pace.
Lott trying to control here.
Lott is not content to let Shotton control the position.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Shotton controlling the action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Carl Shotton.

Shotton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Lott wants to control but Shotton postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shotton tries to stand but Lott is controlling his head.
Shotton staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shotton is looking to take a break and control but Lott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lott pushes Shotton away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shotton gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Shotton throws an elbow but Lott slips to the side and avoids it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shotton tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lott's legs.
Shotton trying to control the position but Lott is working away.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carl Shotton wasn't active enough on the ground.

Shotton gets a double leg takedown into Lott's guard.
Lott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lott wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Shotton is now in half guard.
Lott wants to get back to full guard but Shotton has mounted him!
Shotton connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Shotton is landing with some decent strikes but Lott is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.


Lott is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shotton is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lott can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Oh Lott is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big strike lands for Shotton! That's really hurt Lott and he's turned his back - Shotton keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Shotton jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Shotton!
