Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dino Saur!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kenny Smith!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Saur.

Saur shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Saur showed some decent athleticism there.
Smith moves into full guard.
Smith controls Saur momentarily but Saur frees himself.
Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet.
Smith has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Smith wants to sweep here but Saur controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Saur looking to sit in guard and control but Smith gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Saur seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kenny Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Smith drives through with a takedown into Saur's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Saur has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Saur has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Saur's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saur is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.

Smith goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Saur has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Smith but great work by Saur.

Saur tries for a kimura but Smith is defending well.
Smith is not content to let Saur control the position.

Saur is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smith is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Smith tries to bench press Saur off him but Saur keeps the position.

Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saur thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Saur working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smith is looking to reverse the position.

Saur looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith is looking to regain half guard here but Saur keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dino Saur will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Saur drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Saur wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saur's guard.
Smith is looking to pass into half guard but Saur pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Saur is in guard.

Saur is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Saur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Saur working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Saur wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.
Saur wants to stand but Smith has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Saur trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Smith closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smith lands in his opponent's guard.

Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Saur is retaining full guard.
Smith passes into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Saur is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Smith is tapping! Great win for Saur!
