Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spanker Wenker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Wenker.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Silva shoots in and drives through. Wenker sprawls well.
Wenker closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Wenker pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wenker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wenker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Wenker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wenker stands up from Silva's guard - Wenker perhaps looking for a knockout.

Wenker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wenker wants it to stay on the feet.

Wenker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Silva wants to control but Wenker is having none of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva is looking to improve his position but Wenker isn't that keen on the idea.

Wenker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silva is surviving well by controlling Wenker's body position as best he can.
A nice elbow there by Wenker.

You can see the frustration on Silva's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
I would not like to be Silva right now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
