The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb connects with a body shot that sends Alverez's belly button to the back.
Webb throws a leg kick which misses Alverez's front leg but catches the back leg as Alverez tries to avoid it.

Webb moves into range and clinches up with Alverez.

Webb has Alverez pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Alverez is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Webb - that's hurt Alverez badly! Oh, another knee lands and Alverez is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Alverez doesn't seem to be complaining.
