Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazekage Gaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kazekage Gaara!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gaara closes the distance and clinches.

Archer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gaara throws a right hand that Archer ducks under and follows up with a left that Archer also avoids with ease.
Gaara is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gaara moves into the clinch.

Archer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gaara tries to keep at a distance but Archer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Archer is looking for a takedown.
Gaara is trying to break the clinch but Archer is controlling him.
Archer is working for takedown but Gaara is calmly controlling the position for now.

Gaara pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Archer throws a strike but Gaara rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Archer looking for a guillotine here but Gaara defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Archer is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Gaara trying to control but Archer is working from the bottom.
Archer looking for a sweep. Not yet Archer, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Archer is pulling down on Gaara's head to control his posture.
Archer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Archer manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Archer shoots in and drives through. Gaara sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sterling Archer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Archer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Archer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gaara circles away.
Gaara rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Archer counters with a right hand to the body.
Gaara looks to land a combination but Archer avoids it well.

Gaara gets the takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Archer can't do much from the bottom here.
Gaara trying to control the position but Archer is working away.

Archer tries to bench press Gaara off him but Gaara keeps the position.
Gaara prevents Archer from escaping the position.
Archer is looking to reverse the position.
Archer manages to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Archer is trying to get back to full guard.
Gaara tries to pass the half guard into mount. Archer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Archer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gaara is working away from the top position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Archer is looking for a sweep. Gaara is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Archer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gaara just misses with a punch to the body.
Gaara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Archer circles away quickly and effectively.

Gaara closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Archer did well to prevent Gaara getting side control.

Archer pushes Gaara off and gets back to his feet.

Gaara drives through and clinches with Archer against the cage.
Gaara prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gaara effectively controlling the action here.
Archer can't get the takedown.
Gaara tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Archer avoids it.

Gaara jumps guard.
Gaara throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Archer trying to control but Gaara is working from the bottom.

Sterling Archer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Gaara throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gaara misses with the combination.

Archer moves into the clinch.

Gaara has hold of one of Archer's legs. Archer is fighting the takedown attempt but Gaara gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Archer looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Gaara is defending well. Archer quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Gaara has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Archer celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
