Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adrien Dupont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adrien Dupont has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodson shoots in for a takedown but Dupont shows good takedown defense.
Dodson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dupont pinned against the cage. Dupont gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dupont instigates a clinch.
Dodson blocks the elbow strike.

Dupont breaks the clinch.
Dupont dodges the punch combination from Dodson.
Dupont tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dupont throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Dodson gets tackled into the cage by Dupont. Dupont maintains the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Dupont as the two fighters clinch.

Dodson manages to pull guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dodson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Dupont is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dupont lands a couple of elbows.
Dodson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dupont tries to free his leg and advance position but Dodson is retaining full guard.
Dupont connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dupont accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've been hearing that Dupont has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Dupont pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dodson is keeping the position for now.
Dodson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dupont's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Dupont stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dodson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dodson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dodson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Dupont drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dupont jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dupont drops back looking for a leg! Dodson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dodson manages to kick Dupont off! Dupont jumps back into Dodson's guard.

Dupont throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dodson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dupont throws a strike but Dodson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dupont is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dupont had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dodson defends it easily.

Dodson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dodson throws a big right hand that misses.
Dodson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dupont's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dupont escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dodson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dodson wants to control from the top but Dupont keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dupont is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dodson defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adrien Dupont dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Dodson doesn't manage to clinch there - Dupont circles away.
Dodson misses with a body kick.
Dupont's corner calls for a 1-2. Dupont obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Dodson is rocked!

and Dupont counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Dodson has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

After winning the bout, Adrien Dupont thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
