Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Koscheck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Kronic!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kronic throws a right hand that Koscheck ducks under and follows up with a left that Koscheck also avoids with ease.
Koscheck wants to clinch

and Kronic counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kronic tries to pass the half guard into mount. Koscheck knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Kronic throwing shots but Koscheck is blocking nicely.
Kronic winds up and cracks Koscheck with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kronic prevents Koscheck from standing back up.

Kronic is working for a kimura but Koscheck is defending it quite comfortably.

Kronic is looking for a kimura but Koscheck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kronic to get the leverage.
Koscheck might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Koscheck is not content to let Kronic control the position.
Kronic missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Kronic is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Koscheck sees it coming and defends easily.
Koscheck on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Koscheck tries to get out of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koscheck wants to get back to his feet.
Kronic tries to pass to full mount but Koscheck defends it.
Koscheck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kronic is looking for a kimura but Koscheck is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kronic to get the leverage.
Kronic seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Kronic has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Koscheck defend it? Kronic steps over the head and cranks it - Koscheck is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kronic!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Paul Kronic!
