The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Schneider is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!

Jones defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
Schneider wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Schneider knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.

It looks like Jones might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Leeroy Jones wasn't active enough on the ground.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schneider, pushing him back against the cage.
Schneider wants to stall.

Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Schneider is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Schneider is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Schneider is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Schneider flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Jones anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Schneider and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Jones slips an arm under Schneider chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Jones has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Jones is squeezing on Schneider like an anaconda would it's prey. Schneider fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
