Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Campos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Hallander!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hallander fails with a takedown attempt.
Campos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hallander as he avoids it easily.
A clash of legs there as Campos blocks the low kick.
Hallander tries to score a power double leg takedown but Campos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hallander somewhat.
Hallander shoots in but no luck this time.
Scott Campos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Hallander.

Campos tries to keep at a distance but Hallander has taken the fight into the clinch.
Campos jumps guard but Hallander stands there with Campos around his waist. Campos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Campos struggles to land a body shot inside as Hallander controls his hands.

Campos tries to break free but Hallander pushes him back against the cage.
Campos is pressed up against the cage. Hallander has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Campos down to the mat. Campos avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hallander scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hallander is trying to move to mount but Campos reverses beautifully and ends up in Hallander's guard.

Campos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hallander is proving hard to escape from.

Hallander working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Campos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Campos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hallander has a closed guard, preventing Campos from standing up.
Campos looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hallander can't get the takedown.

Hallander jumps into guard, dragging Campos to the mat.
Campos's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Campos wants to control from the top but Hallander keeps moving.
Hallander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Scott Campos has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Hallander throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Campos's waist but Campos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hallander off to one side.

Hallander pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Campos shoots in for a double leg but Hallander sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hallander fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Campos, pushing him back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Hallander dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hallander shoots and misses
and Campos counters with a series of strikes. Hallander will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hallander goes for a double leg but Campos avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Campos continues to drive forward.
Campos looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hallander gets underhooks to prevent Campos's takedown attempt.

Campos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

It looks like Scott Campos has been cut.

Hallander has hold of one of Campos's legs. Campos is fighting the takedown attempt but Hallander gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Hallander is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Campos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Campos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hallander avoids it really well and circles away.

Hallander bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Christopher Hallander showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hallander thows a body kick. Campos tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Hallander shoots for a double leg takedown but Campos sprawls well. He's pushed Hallander's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hallander takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hallander misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Campos gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Campos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hallander is one step ahead there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Campos is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Hallander is keen to just control but Campos is a slippery customer.
Campos wants to improve his position but Hallander is controlling well.

Campos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Christopher Hallander comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hallander has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
