PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Warden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bradley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rule Britannia kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Paul Bradley is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Warden!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Bradley!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warden stuffs the takedown attempt from Bradley. Bradley gets slowly back to his feet.
Bradley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Bradley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bradley tries to clinch but Warden moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Bradley misses the target.
Bradley misses with a takedown attempt - Warden sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bradley tries to close the distance and clinch but Warden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bradley shoots in looking for a takedown. Warden tries to sprawl out of it but Bradley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Warden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jason Warden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Bradley.
Bradley throws a series of punches but Warden moves out of range.

Bradley throws a jab but it's blocked by Warden.
Horrible takedown by Bradley or perhaps it was just good defense by Warden which made him look bad.
Bradley shoots in looking for a takedown. Warden tries to sprawl out of it but Bradley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Warden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bradley is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Warden gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bradley is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Warden is keeping busy.

Bradley is working for takedown but Warden is calmly controlling the position for now.
Warden throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bradley blocks it with crossed arms.
Bradley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Warden smiles and moves away.

Bradley swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Warden is now in Bradley's guard. A big mistake from Bradley there, giving up the dominant position!

Bradley had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Warden is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bradley Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Warden's back instead.

Bradley throwing strikes and Warden squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bradley is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Warden has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Warden!

Bradley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bradley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bradley seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Warden is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
