Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mason Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phong Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phong Nguyen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Long.

Nguyen is stalling here. Long is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Nguyen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Long has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Long enables Nguyen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Long manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

A close second round but Phong Nguyen will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mason Long.
Well Long has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
