Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean-Louis Andre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Inigo Guerra!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Guerra as he checks the leg kick.
Guerra digs a good body shot into Andre's ribs.
Andre needs to keep his hands up - Guerra had a free shot at his head there.
Andre throws out a loose jab but Guerra uses good head movement to avoid it.
Andre ducks under a wild hook from Guerra.
Guerra has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Andre is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Andre tries to score a power double leg takedown but Guerra sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Andre somewhat.

Inigo Guerra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Andre throws a strike but Guerra rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Guerra slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Andre throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Guerra escapes and throws Andre's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Andre manages to get back to half guard.

Well, if Guerra is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Andre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jean-Louis Andre overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Andre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guerra defends it easily.

Andre postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Andre wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guerra keeps working.

Andre thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
