The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huerta displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaufmore.

Huerta dives in and scores a takedown into Kaufmore's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kaufmore is on top in guard.
Huerta is looking to stand up but Kaufmore isn't so interested in that idea.
Kaufmore wants to pass the guard but Huerta is keeping the position.
Kaufmore postures up.
Kaufmore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kaufmore pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Huerta is keeping the position for now.
Huerta seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Kaufmore slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kaufmore advances to full mount.

Kaufmore goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Huerta is on top in guard.
Huerta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kaufmore working for a triangle but Huerta defends it easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Huerta drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kaufmore looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kaufmore looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kaufmore!
Huerta is looking to reverse the position.

Kaufmore tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kaufmore has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kaufmore is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Huerta has escaped the position, nice work there.
Huerta gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Kaufmore goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Huerta is on top in guard.
Kaufmore tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Huerta trying to control the position from guard on top but Kaufmore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kaufmore is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Huerta has his hands clasped together but Kaufmore extends and breaks Huerta's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kaufmore.
