Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Titus Cochran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Cook has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Titus Cochran's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Titus Cochran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cook!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cook tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cochran punishes Cook's body with a nice straight punch.
Cook pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Cook scores with a takedown into Cochran's guard.
Cook is stalling in the full guard.

Cook stands up and waves to Cochran to follow him.
Cook misses with a combination
and Cochran counters with a left to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cook avoids a kick to the body.
Cochran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cook shoots in for a double leg but Cochran sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cook misses with a takedown attempt - Cochran sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cook with a poor takedown
and Cochran counters with a straight right hand.
Titus Cochran has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Cook.
Cook shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Cochran moves into the clinch.

Cochran drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cook missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cook trying to control the position from guard on top but Cochran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cook gets to his feet. Cochran looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cochran fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cochran moves out of range as Cook throws a body kick.
Cook tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cochran manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cook.
Cook moves in looking to clinch but Cochran pushes him off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cook shoots in looking for a takedown but Cochran manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Cochran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cochran wants it to stay on the feet.

Cochran instigates a clinch.

Cochran jumps guard and drags Cook to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Cochran will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cochran is on top in guard.
Cook is pulling down on Cochran's head to control his posture.
Cochran trying to control the position from guard on top but Cook is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cook is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cochran is standing up over Cook. Cook looks to escape but Cochran dives into side control.
Cook is looking for a sweep.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cochran trying to control the action but Cook is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Cook dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Cook misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cook tries to clinch there but Cochran circles away.
Cochran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cook closes the distance but Cochran moves to the side

and Cochran counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cochran.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cook is trying to break the clinch but Cochran is controlling him.

Cochran pulls Cook into guard.
Cook preventing the sweep.
Cook throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Cook trying to control the position from guard on top but Cochran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cochran preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Cook advances position into side control!
Cook with the ground and pound but Cochran regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cook is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cochran is just riding it out for now. Cook eventually gives up the hold.
Cook thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cochran's head.
Cochran pushes Cook off looking to stand but Cook dives back in and keeps control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cook content to control rather than advance.
Cook trying to control from Cochran's half guard. Cochran has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Cook stands up and waves to Cochran to follow him.
Cook closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cochran circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cook throws a lazy head kick
and Cochran counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Michael Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cook has Cochran up against the cage in a clinch.
Cochran jumps guard but Cook stands there with Cochran around his waist. Cochran gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cochran tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cook smiles and moves away.

Cochran forces Cook back against the cage and clinches.
Cochran wants to stall.
Cochran is trying to pull guard but Cook turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Cook showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Cochran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Cook throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Cook misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cook tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Cochran counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cochran.
Cochran tries to pull guard but Cook forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Cochran fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Cook wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cochran has him pressed against the cage.

Cochran has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cook uses from the top position.
Cook looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Cook wants to control from the top but Cochran keeps moving.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cook advances position into side control!
Cochran is looking for a sweep.

Cook is trying to get an arm triangle but Cochran is defending well.

Cook tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cook has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cook fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Cochran knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cook on the ground.

Cook tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cook has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Cochran regains half guard, as Cook was trying to land strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cook looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Cochran is trying to escape back to his feet but Cook uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Cook goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cochran rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cook's guard! Nice work there by Cochran!
Cook keeping moving, preventing Cochran from controlling successfully.
Michael Cook has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cochran wants to pass the guard but Cook is keeping the position.
Cook looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cochran is one step ahead there.

Cook had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cochran defends it easily.
Titus Cochran has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Michael Cook is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cook not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Michael Cook comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cook winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
