Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Quarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomoya Boehm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomoya Boehm is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Quarry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tomoya Boehm!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boehm wants to clinch but Quarry slips to the side
and Quarry makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Quarry fails with a takedown attempt.
Quarry tries for a takedown but Boehm sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Boehm throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Quarry.

Quarry darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Boehm misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Boehm has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Quarry is working away from the top position though.
Quarry landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Boehm is holding on to half guard well.
Quarry trying to advance position but Boehm counters by regaining guard.

Quarry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Quarry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boehm swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Boehm wants to sweep but no luck.
Quarry advances to half guard.
Quarry is nestled in close to Boehm, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Quarry is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Boehm is defending against the submission attempts here by Quarry.
Boehm wants to get back to his feet.
Boehm looks winded!

Quarry looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Boehm tries to roll over but Quarry keeps him under control.
Boehm is trying to stand.
Boehm is looking for a sweep. Quarry is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Quarry working the head and body with strikes.
Boehm is looking to control Quarry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boehm avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boehm is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Quarry is tapping! Great win for Boehm!

Tomoya Boehm decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
