Mullen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Mullen gets tackled into the cage by Thompson. Thompson maintains the clinch.
Mullen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Thompson walks away with a smile on his face. Mullen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mullen doesn't manage to clinch there - Thompson circles away.

Mullen gets a takedown into half guard.

Mullen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mullen seems to be working for a kimura but Thompson defends the submission attempt.

Mullen is pressing down on Thompson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Thompson is holding on for now.

Mullen is looking for a kimura but Thompson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mullen to get the leverage.

Mullen seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Thompson is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ava Mullen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
