PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jude Mcneil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox has chosen Flex on em as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcneil pushes Knox up against the cage in a clinch.

Knox has clasped his hands together around Mcneil's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Mcneil tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Knox wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Knox decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mcneil to his feet.

Knox fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcneil to the ground. Knox is now in Mcneil's guard.
Mcneil wants to get back to his feet but Knox is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Knox gets to his feet - Mcneil follows without any prompting.

Knox is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mcneil's half guard.
Knox winds up and cracks Mcneil with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Knox lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Mcneil tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Knox manages to move to mount!
Mcneil is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Knox is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mcneil is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mcneil flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Knox anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mcneil and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Knox slips an arm under Mcneil chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Knox has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Knox is squeezing on Mcneil like an anaconda would it's prey. Mcneil fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alex Knox!
Alex Knox opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
