The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay fails to land the takedown.
Jay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sithbanprachan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sithbanprachan is looking to regain half guard here but Jay keeps moving and retains side control.

Jay decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sithbanprachan to his feet.

Jay closes the distance and clinches up with Sithbanprachan, looking for a takedown. Jay pushes Sithbanprachan against the cage but Sithbanprachan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jay shoots for a takedown but Sithbanprachan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jay fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sithbanprachan to the ground. Jay is now in Sithbanprachan's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jay is working Sithbanprachan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
