Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Costa Philippou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dean might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Will Smith-Geting Jiggy with it. Mike Dean has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philippou throws a right and a left that Dean avoids nicely.
Dean seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Dean stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dean wants it to stay on the feet.
Philippou throws a one two combo.

It looks like Mike Dean has been cut.

and Dean counters with a shoot takedown. Philippou fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Philippou bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dean's guard.
Dean wants to stand up but Philippou is controlling him.
Philippou stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dean swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Philippou has gone for a leg lock! Dean slips out almost immediately though and dives into Philippou's guard.
Dean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dean has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Philippou is proving hard to escape from.

Philippou has his foot on Dean's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dean works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dean drops back looking for a leg! Philippou is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Philippou manages to kick Dean off! Dean jumps back into Philippou's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Dean will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mike Dean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Costa Philippou.
Dean uses his free foot to push down on Philippou's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Philippou.
