The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustavin throws a right and a left that both miss.

Boykowich drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gustavin is trying to control Boykowich's posture but Boykowich avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action here.

Boykowich stands up.
Gustavin tries to bum rush Boykowich with a series of wild strikes but Boykowich uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gustavin misses with a two punch combination.
Boykowich avoids a punch combination nicely.

Gustavin is looking to clinch but Boykowich is avoiding it.

It looks like Sam Boykowich has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gustavin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Boykowich shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gustavin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Boykowich stands up and beckons Gustavin to his feet.
Gustavin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gustavin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gustavin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boykowich backs up against the cage.
Boykowich on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Oh Boykowich is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gustavin rushes Boykowich with punches - Boykowich moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Boykowich goes down! Gustavin follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
