Excellent takedown into side control there by Nguyen.
Nguyen tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Browning is pushing Nguyen's head away, looking to escape. Nguyen manages to hold on to the position though.
Browning manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nguyen's best efforts.
Nguyen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Browning keeps working.

Nguyen stalks Browning and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Browning's face. Browning staggers backwards, shaken.

Browning feints and as Nguyen raises his hands in defense, Browning changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nguyen is wriggling around but Browning manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nguyen wants to sweep but Browning has passed to side control!
Nguyen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Browning presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

That was a close round but I would say that Joaquin Browning will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Browning gets tackled into the cage by Nguyen. Nguyen maintains the clinch.

Browning escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nguyen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Browning working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nguyen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nguyen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
