The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a body shot.
Johnson wants to clinch up but McHale keeps it at a distance.
Johnson misses with a low kick.
McHale circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson closes the distance and clinches.
McHale wants a takedown.
Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and McHale counters with a takedown into side control.
Johnson is trying to improve his position.
McHale cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McHale lands a few punches from side control.
Johnson throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
McHale slows the pace down.
Johnson tries to buck McHale off but McHale is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McHale postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Johnson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
McHale cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
McHale in side control, throwing shots but Johnson defends.
McHale lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson tries to improve position but can't.
Johnson wants to control but McHale postures up.
McHale in side control lands a decent elbow.
McHale lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McHale cracks Johnson with a big elbow.
Johnson is rocked!
Johnson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, McHale asserts his dominance and retains side control.
McHale scoring with punches and elbows.
Johnson is still in real trouble! Can McHale finish him?
McHale grinds an elbow into Johnson's temple.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.

McHale lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.
Johnson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Johnson is working to avoid the ground and pound but McHale connects with a decent elbow.
McHale cracks Johnson with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! McHale immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Johnson is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by McHale!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Beaumont McHale!
