The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James shoots for a double leg takedown but Deathgrip sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

James ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Deathgrip moves away.

James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Deathgrip pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Shadow Deathgrip has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank James.
James has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Deathgrip after a bit of a struggle.

James has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Deathgrip clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

James is looking for a choke. Deathgrip gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Deathgrip manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

James wants to sweep but no luck.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Deathgrip can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Deathgrip will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
