Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Dween (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Dween acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Dween!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamilton bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Dween clinches with his opponent.
Hamilton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dween smiles and moves away.

Dween clinches up with Hamilton and pushes him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Dween turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dween manages to end up in side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Dween tries for a kimura but Hamilton is defending well.

Dween stands up and beckons Hamilton to his feet.
Hamilton throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Dween counters with a takedown into side control.

Hamilton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Dween seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hamilton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dween is working for a kimura but Hamilton is defending it quite comfortably.

Hamilton has hold of Dween's hands but Dween slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Dween decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Dween tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hamilton paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Hamilton connects with a leg kick. Dween looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Dween takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hamilton tries to land a front kick but Dween steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dween shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hamilton pinned against the cage. Hamilton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hamilton thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dween if he has to take too many more of those.
Dween should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Dween has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hamilton clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Hamilton is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dween is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hamilton to the mat. Hamilton regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Dween got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hamilton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dween has managed to get both his arms back between Hamilton's legs - danger averted.

Dween feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've been informed that Dween has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jimmy Dween hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dween crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hamilton - the referee stops the clock and Dween gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hamilton. Dween manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well Dween has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
