Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Osama Bin Laden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vane Nighthawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Osama Bin Laden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vane Nighthawk!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nighthawk has managed to clinch.

Nighthawk drags the fight down to the ground.
Bin Laden is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bin Laden postures up.
Bin Laden trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Nighthawk controlling the position.
Bin Laden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nighthawk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nighthawk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bin Laden has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nighthawk is proving hard to escape from.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Nighthawk darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Nighthawk wants to stand up but Bin Laden manages to regain full guard.

Nighthawk throws a strike but Bin Laden rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Bin Laden is really struggling to control Nighthawk but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Nighthawk wants to sweep here but Bin Laden controlling him for the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Bin Laden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bin Laden looking to sit in guard and control but Nighthawk gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Nighthawk postures up in Bin Laden's guard and throws a big left but Bin Laden blocks it.
Bin Laden is trying to hold Nighthawk in close to prevent damage but Nighthawk has managed to pass into half guard.
Bin Laden wants to control but Nighthawk is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Osama Bin Laden.
Nighthawk throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Nighthawk shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bin Laden's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nighthawk passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bin Laden manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nighthawk's best efforts.
Nighthawk looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bin Laden with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Nighthawk frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bin Laden tries to hold on but Nighthawk postures up.
Nighthawk looking to finish Bin Laden with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bin Laden!

Nighthawk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bin Laden is looking to escape.
Bin Laden is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vane Nighthawk dominated that round.

Nighthawk misses with a low kick as Bin Laden jumps back.

Nighthawk decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bin Laden, up you get!

and Nighthawk counters with a single leg into guard. Bin Laden didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nighthawk tries to stand and escape but Bin Laden is controlling the position.

Nighthawk is landing with some decent strikes but Bin Laden is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Nighthawk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Bin Laden tries to control Nighthawk's head but Nighthawk pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Bin Laden is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Nighthawk is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bin Laden can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Nighthawk has got his arm under Bin Laden's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Bin Laden has spun round into Nighthawk's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bin Laden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nighthawk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nighthawk is trying to keep Bin Laden in close.
Nighthawk wants to stand and escape but Bin Laden is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Nighthawk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nighthawk lands in his opponent's guard.

Vane Nighthawk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nighthawk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nighthawk showed some decent athleticism there.
Nighthawk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bin Laden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Osama Bin Laden.
I think Nighthawk has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
