Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Usain Watts!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts ducks right into an uppercut from Singh.
Watts lands a nice looking kick to the body. Singh takes a step back to recover.
Singh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Singh defending well as Watts loads up on a big left hand.
Singh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watts manages to avoid it.
Watts tries a head kick but it misses.
Watts is looking to land body kicks.
Watts throws a right and a left that Singh avoids nicely.
Singh swings for the body but Watts moves out of range.
Watts throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Watts looks to land a right hand but Singh moved out of range.

It looks like Usain Watts has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Watts. Those never looked like landing.
Singh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Singh with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Watts to score with a decent uppercut.
Watts throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Singh's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Singh looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Watts!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Watts is not content to let Singh control the position.
Singh postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Singh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Watts can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Singh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Singh throws an elbow but Watts slips to the side and avoids it well.

Singh is trying to get an arm triangle but Watts is defending well.
Singh throws a strike aimed at the side of Watts's head but Watts avoids it well.

Watts is trying to get back to half guard.
Watts is not content to let Singh control the position.

Watts has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Singh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watts keeps working.

Singh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Watts knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Watts tries to improve position but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Singh looking to control but instead Watts has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Ravi Singh will probably get the nod.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Donk. Singh catches Watts right on the button with a cross.
Watts tried to score with a low kick but Singh checks it.
Singh takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Singh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Singh misses with a jab, cross combination.
Watts lands a head kick!
Watts throws a nice outside leg kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Watts!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Watts punishes Singh's body with a nice straight punch.
Watts misses with a body punch
and Singh counters with a stiff right hand.
Singh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Watts is looking to land body kicks.
Watts looks to land a left hand but Singh moved out of range nicely.
A jab from Watts finds it's way through Singh's defenses.
Singh lands a jab to the head.
Watts lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Watts sizes up Singh with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Singh walks into a straight right hand from Watts.
Watts goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


Singh is rocked!
A slapping body kick lands there for Watts.
Oh Singh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
