Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Figueroa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Astakhov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Astakhov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Shamil Astakhov has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Figueroa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Figueroa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Figueroa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The strikes coming from Figueroa are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Astakhov tries to buck Figueroa off but Figueroa is having none of it.

Figueroa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Figueroa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Astakhov just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
