Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troy is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Silva throws a right and a left that Troy avoids nicely.
Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Silva manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Troy on his heels. He'll look to pass Troy's guard now, I'm sure.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Troy can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rodrigo Silva .
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Troy checks a leg kick.

Troy tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Troy to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Troy pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
