PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes to the cage accompanied by Call to Arms. The crowd seem to be enjoying Brandao's choice of entrance music: Pharell Williams - Happy. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brandao takes the fight into the clinch.
Turner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brandao fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Turner misses with a wild combination.
Brandao moves in looking to clinch but Turner pushes him off.
Turner thumps Brandao with a low kick.
Brandao fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turner avoids it really well and circles away.

Brandao drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Turner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Turner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brandao doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brandao manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brandao drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brandao jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Turner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brandao is controlling him.

Turner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tom Turner.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brandao looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Turner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Turner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brandao avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Tom Turner will probably get the nod.

It looks like Urijah Brandao has been cut.
Turner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brandao defends well and Turner ends up having to push Brandao into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Brandao wants to clinch up but Turner keeps it at a distance.

Tom Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Brandao.
Brandao is breathing heavily.
A left lands for Turner.
Brandao has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown by Brandao or perhaps it was just good defense by Turner which made him look bad.
Brandao takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Brandao is rocked!
Turner is pawing at Brandao, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Brandao's nose. Brandao is badly hurt! Turner pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Brandao tries desperately to hold on but Turner is relentless in his assault! As Brandao receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Turner away and this one is in the books!
