Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Salomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Vogh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rafael Salomon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Vogh!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vogh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Vogh lands in his opponent's guard.

Vogh drops back looking for a leg! Salomon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Salomon manages to kick Vogh off! Vogh jumps back into Salomon's guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Salomon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vogh defends it easily.
Vogh forces his way into half guard.

Vogh is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Salomon has managed to free his arm - good work.

Salomon's coaches at Ivan's house of pain [300$] have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Salomon tries to roll over but Vogh keeps him under control.

Vogh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Vogh is working for a submission of some sort.

Salomon gets back to full guard.

Salomon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Salomon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Salomon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vogh is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vogh is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vogh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vogh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Vogh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salomon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vogh has managed to get both his arms back between Salomon's legs - danger averted.

Vogh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Salomon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Vogh frees his head nicely. Oh but Salomon has switched to an armbar! Vogh is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

A relieved looking Rafael Salomon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
