The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Morte swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting De La Torre counter with a right hand.
Antoine De La Morte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that De La Torre has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

De La Torre goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
De La Torre dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on De La Morte. That did some damage!

Good leg kick by De La Torre there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nicholas De La Torre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
De La Morte throws a lazy right hand but De La Torre sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
De La Morte is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

De La Torre lands a leg kick that knocks De La Morte off balance momentarily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

De La Torre pounces like a tiger and cracks De La Morte with a vicious hook! De La Morte is down but not out! De La Torre follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

During a confident post fight interview, Nicholas De La Torre thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
