Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cody Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sten Saaremae!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez throws a head kick but Saaremae moves out of range.
Jimenez gets caught flat footed, as Saaremae shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jimenez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Saaremae is in close to Jimenez's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Saaremae is standing up over Jimenez. Jimenez looks to escape but Saaremae dives into side control.
Jimenez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Saaremae asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Jimenez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Saaremae staying calm.
Jimenez tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Saaremae controlling from side mount.
Saaremae has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jimenez!

Saaremae controlling the position easily from mount.
Jimenez tries to lock up and control but Saaremae gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Saaremae takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

It looks like Saaremae might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Saaremae is landing with some decent strikes but Jimenez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Saaremae cracks Jimenez with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
