Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hawk Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hawk Gunner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
32 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Poppy!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunner scores with a hook.
Gunner throws a series of punches but Poppy moves out of range.
Gunner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gunner bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Poppy's head backwards.
Gunner cracks Poppy with a right hand to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gunner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gunner showed some decent athleticism there.
Gunner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Poppy keeps working.
Gunner drops an elbow to the side of Poppy's head.
Poppy moves into full guard.
Gunner controlling from the top position.
Poppy is looking for a triangle but Gunner pushes his legs off easily.

Gunner trying to control the position from guard on top but Poppy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gunner forces his way into half guard.
Gunner prevents Poppy from improving his position.
Poppy keeps trying to improve his position.
Gunner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Poppy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Gunner wants to pass the guard but Poppy is defending well.
Poppy is pressing down on Gunner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Poppy's head.
Poppy keeping moving, preventing Gunner from controlling successfully.
Gunner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Poppy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gunner is one step ahead there.
Poppy has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gunner is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Poppy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gunner works to advance to full mount. Poppy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Gunner is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Poppy has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gunner lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gunner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Poppy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Gunner controlling the position easily from mount.
Gunner trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Poppy is in a horrible position here. Gunner smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Gunner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Poppy regains half guard.
Poppy wants to improve his position but Gunner is controlling well.
Gunner perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Poppy wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hawk Gunner.
Poppy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gunner scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Gunner moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Gunner lands a two punch combo.
Gunner lands with a big left! Poppy is wobbled badly! Gunner comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Poppy to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hawk Gunner!
Our winner, Hawk Gunner, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
