Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wei Shen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shen's entrance music is For Faith. A fine choice. Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Palmeiras fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
O Palmeiras shoots in but Shen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

O Palmeiras closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
O Palmeiras avoids a wild elbow strike from Shen.
O Palmeiras tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Shen just stands there and leans against the cage.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

O Palmeiras jumps guard but Shen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

and O Palmeiras counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
O Palmeiras slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Shen tries to clinch but fails miserably
and O Palmeiras counters with a nice body shot.

Shen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Shen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. O Palmeiras is defending well for now.

Shen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before O Palmeiras can pounce on him.

and O Palmeiras counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shen thinking.

and Shen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and O Palmeiras takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wei Shen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
O Palmeiras misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras has got the better of the ground game so far.

O Palmeiras is working to tighten his grip on Shen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Shen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but O Palmeiras is really squeezing tight and eventually Shen passes out! O Palmeiras breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
