Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rickie Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralfs Fedosejevs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fedosejevs is defended easily by Myers.
Fedosejevs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Myers pinned against the cage. Myers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Myers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fedosejevs was covering up waiting for the punch and Myers finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fedosejevs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fedosejevs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Myers postures up.

Myers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fedosejevs on the ground.
Fedosejevs is trying to control the position but Myers postures up.

Fedosejevs has his foot on Myers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Myers works his way back into a safe position though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fedosejevs is on top in guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fedosejevs is working Myers over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Fedosejevs stands and steps away. Myers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fedosejevs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Myers pinned against the cage. Myers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rickie Myers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralfs Fedosejevs.

Fedosejevs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Myers swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fedosejevs chips away with some ground and pound.

Fedosejevs drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Fedosejevs as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Myers screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Fedosejevs! Nice submission victory there!
