Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Macros Motaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edilhson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Motaro slips a straight right by Edilhson.
Edilhson shoots for a takedown but Motaro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Edilhson tries to clinch up but Motaro circles away and keeps his distance.

Edilhson dives in and grabs Motaro's left leg, looking for a takedown. Motaro pushes down on Edilhson's head and hops out.

Motaro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Edilhson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Motaro connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edilhson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Motaro.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Edilhson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Motaro - the referee stops the clock and Edilhson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Motaro. Edilhson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Motaro lands a big uppercut and Edilhson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Edilhson looks OK. Motaro waves Edilhson back to his feet!

Edilhson is trying to push Motaro away but Motaro has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Edilhson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Motaro is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Motaro sends Edilhson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Motaro is motioning to the referee to let Edilhson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Edilhson shoots for a double leg takedown but Motaro sprawls well. He's pushed Edilhson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Motaro drops Edilhson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Edilhson looks back up at him and smiles so Motaro waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Motaro cracks Edilhson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Edilhson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Motaro pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Edilhson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

During a confident post fight interview, Macros Motaro thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
