The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Cruz dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Modesto. That did some damage!
Modesto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cruz's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Cruz duly obliges.

It looks like Rafael Modesto has been cut.
Cruz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Modesto dodges the punch combination from Cruz.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cruz.
Cruz scores with a nice body kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Cruz connects with a looping right hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cruz.
Modesto looks winded!
Modesto staying out of range there.
Cruz throws out a loose jab but Modesto uses good head movement to avoid it.
Justin Cruz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Modesto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Modesto is rocked!
Cruz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Modesto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick by Cruz - that's a beauty! Modesto is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Cruz can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
