The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a head kick but Wysocki moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Wysocki moves out of range easily.
Wysocki avoids a kick to the body.
Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and Wysocki counters with a nice body kick.
Jones tries to clinch up but Wysocki circles away and keeps his distance.
Wysocki scores with a kick to the body.

Wysocki moves into the clinch successfully.
Jones is struggling to control the position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jones misses with an elbow strike.
Wysocki goes for a takedown attempt but Jones pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wysocki.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Jones is trying to improve his position.
Wysocki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wysocki looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jones tries to buck Wysocki off but Wysocki is having none of it.
Wysocki moves into full mount!
Wysocki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jones is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones wants to hold on but Wysocki pushes him away.

Wysocki landing strikes from the mount.

Wysocki working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Jones looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Wysocki! Submission of the night perhaps?
