Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Timm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Sarnoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Timm has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roger Timm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stan Sarnoso!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timm is looking to clinch but Sarnoso is avoiding it.
Sarnoso misses with a looping right.
A swing and a miss from Sarnoso.
Sarnoso looks to score with a jab to the body but Timm is just out of range.
Timm throws out a leg kick but Sarnoso moves out of range and Timm only half commits.
Sarnoso throws a lazy right hand but Timm sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sarnoso pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sarnoso has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sarnoso goes for a double leg but Timm avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Timm continues to drive forward.
Sarnoso wants to break the clinch but can't.
Sarnoso has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Timm wants a takedown but no success here.
Timm tries to score a body lock takedown but Sarnoso shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sarnoso is trying to break free.
Timm jumps guard but Sarnoso turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Timm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Timm misses with a body punch.
Timm tries to pull guard but Sarnoso holds him up against the cage and eventually Timm drops back down to his feet.
Sarnoso tries to score a body lock takedown but Timm shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sarnoso is looking for a takedown.
Sarnoso is trying to push Timm away but Timm has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sarnoso is trying to force a seperation but Timm has the dominant position.
Sarnoso wants a takedown but no success here.
Sarnoso wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Timm gets underhooks to prevent Sarnoso's takedown attempt.
Sarnoso is trying to push Timm away but Timm has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Timm pulls Sarnoso into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sarnoso postures up and lands a big shot to Timm's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Timm has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sarnoso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Timm can't keep his opponent in guard - Sarnoso advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Timm is looking to control Sarnoso's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Timm avoid being mounted?

Sarnoso is working for a kimura but Timm is defending it quite comfortably.

Timm won't allow Sarnoso to pass to mount.

Sarnoso scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Timm looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sarnoso not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sarnoso works his way into full mount!
Sarnoso lands a big shot there that rocks Timm but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Timm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sarnoso on the ground.

Sarnoso wants to finish this one by submission but Timm is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sarnoso.

Sarnoso has control of Timm's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Timm regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Timm is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Timm really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sarnoso with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Timm tries to reverse the position but Sarnoso maintains control.
Sarnoso has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sarnoso is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Timm can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sarnoso throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Timm has his hands clasped together but Sarnoso breaks the hold and Timm is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Sarnoso!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Stan Sarnoso!
