Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reijo Rento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Santana De Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Oliveira on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
De Oliveira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and De Oliveira makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

De Oliveira shoots in looking for a takedown but Rento manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Oliveira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Rento winds up and cracks De Oliveira with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Rento misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rento dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Rento checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Rento tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Oliveira sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rento somewhat.

De Oliveira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rento on his heels. He'll look to pass Rento's guard now, I'm sure.

De Oliveira felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Rento is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down De Oliveira's shoulder. That is not cool.

De Oliveira is looking to regain half guard here but Rento keeps moving and retains side control.

De Oliveira is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Rento is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rento pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
De Oliveira takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rento looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has De Oliveira covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
