The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bags fails to land with a series of punches.
Bags looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Bags changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Garry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Garry looks frustrated here - throwing a couple of shots from the bottom though.
Garry is looking for a sweep.
Bags trying to control the position but Garry is working away.
Garry tries to escape but Bags is in control.
Garry is looking to regain half guard here but Bags keeps moving and retains side control.
Garry parries the strikes from Bags easily there. Bags is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Garry to escape.

Garry is trying to control Bags's posture but Bags avoids it.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bags working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Garry keeps the fight on the outside.
Bags stuffs the takedown attempt from Garry. Garry gets slowly back to his feet.
Bags misses with a wild combination.

Garry shoots in but Bags avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Garry looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Garry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Garry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Garry tries to move to mount but Bags blocks the move with his legs.
Garry wants to stand but Bags is controlling his arm.

Bags displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garry.

That was a close round but I would say that Uros Garry will probably get the nod.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garry is defended easily by Bags.
Bags tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Garry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bags misses with a wild combination.
Garry changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bags tries to avoid it but Garry manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bags to the ground. Bags escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bags is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Garry looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Garry throws a sloppy head kick and Bags moves out of range easily.

Joe Bags seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garry shoots in for a takedown but Bags shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Garry throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garry wriggles free and stands up.
Bags is looking to clinch but Garry is avoiding it.

Garry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bags to the ground. Garry is now in Bags's guard.
Garry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bags on the ground.
Garry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Garry wants to stand but Bags is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Garry has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bags is on him like a limpet, forcing Garry back against the cage.
Garry swings wildly with an uppercut but Bags uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bags blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Garry.
Bags takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Uros Garry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Garry wants to get up but he can't break Bags's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Bags.
Well Garry has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
