Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harlan Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otaku Genre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Genre closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Genre lands in his opponent's guard.
Genre is stalling in the full guard.
Genre tries to stand but Waters is controlling from the bottom.
Genre postures up.
Genre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Waters can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Genre controls the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Harlan Waters wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Waters chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Genre can pounce on him.

Genre drives through with a takedown into guard.
Waters wants to stand and escape but Genre is having none of it.

Genre stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Genre closes the distance and pushes Waters back into the cage.
Genre managing to block the knees to the body from Waters.

Waters breaks from the clinch.

Genre closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Waters tries to kick Genre off but Genre keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Genre with the ground and pound but Waters uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Waters is breathing heavily.
Genre engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Genre decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Waters, up you get!

Genre closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Genre turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Genre manages to end up in side control.

Genre stands up.

Genre has managed to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Genre is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Waters can't fight it off and eventually Genre manages to take the fight to the floor. Waters looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Genre content to stall in guard here.
Genre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Waters being controlled here, momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Waters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Otaku Genre wasn't active enough on the ground.

Genre drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Waters is letting Genre control him for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Genre working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Otaku Genre dominated that round.
That's time! Waters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Genre jabs Waters right on the nose. Waters blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Harlan Waters has been cut.
Genre lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Genre shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Waters is on queer street and Genre is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
