Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Henry counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard.
Henry is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva dives in and grabs Henry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Henry pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Henry moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Henry moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Henry pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Henry is pressed up against the cage. Silva has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Henry down to the mat. Henry avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Henry is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rodrigo Henry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Henry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
